Pope Francis prayer for Advent
In December, we pray with Pope Francis that the forthcoming Jubilee may strengthen us in our faith, helping us to recognise the Risen Christ in the midst of our lives, transforming us into pilgrims of Christian hope.
‘We must fan the flame of hope that has been given to us and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart, and far-sighted vision.’ – Pope Francis
As a parish we continually pray for:
- All our parishioners
- The sick and housebound
- Vocations to the priesthood
- Peace in the World
- The protection of unborn children
- The promotion of the sanctity of human life
- The conversion of England
- The Holy Souls
We ask these prayers through Christ our Lord, Amen
“And now we thank you, Our God, and praise your glorious name.”
1 Chronicles 29:13:
