Autumn is upon us and during this season of the liturgical year we pray for

  • Students and teachers
  • The Spread of the Gospel
  • The Harvest
  • The fruits of Human work, and the reverent use of creation
  • Justice and peace in the world
  • All victims of War
  • Young people
  • Prisoners and their families.

October Theme – Creation

October is the month dedicated to praying the Rosary

The rosary focuses on reflecting on key events—called “mysteries”—in the lives of Jesus Christ and his mother Mary.

Joyful Mysteries: Focus on the early life and birth of Jesus.
Luminous Mysteries: Focus on the public ministry and life of Jesus.
Sorrowful Mysteries: Focus on the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus.
Glorious Mysteries: Focus on the resurrection of Jesus and the glory of heaven

Pope Leo has asked that the rosary be said throughout October for peace in the World.

For mental health ministry

Let us pray that the mental health ministry be established throughout the Church, helping to overcome the stigma and discrimination of persons with mental illnesses.

As a parish we continually pray for:

  • All our parishioners
  • The sick and housebound
  • Vocations to the priesthood
  • Peace in the World
  • The protection of unborn children
  • The promotion of the sanctity of human life
  • The conversion of England
  • The Holy Souls

We ask these prayers through Christ our Lord, Amen
