Our Parish
Over the past few months, a small group of parishioners from both ends of the parish have been working with Fr Paul to form the start of our Parish Mission Plan.
To do this they have had to identify as a parish, who we are, where we are and what we are already doing.
The next step was to decide how as a Parish all parishioners can be helped to
Encounter Christ on a very personal level.
Confirm discipleship with Him
And then identify and go forward in Mission
Parish Mission Meetings
Bishop Patrick recently visited us to talk about the Diocesan Mission Plan called “Go Make Disciples”. Are you however still unsure what it is all about, what its aims are and what it means for us in this parish? Maybe you wonder why there is a small mission team and what it does. Possibly (hopefully) you want to know how you can get involved and contribute to our Parish Mission, which flows from it.
There will be a series of meetings that will attempt to answer these questions and give everyone that opportunity to contribute. The first of these will take place on:
TUESDAY 11th AUGUST at 11am in Bourne and again at 7pm in Deeping.
This provides a daytime or an evening meeting, a Bourne based or a Deeping based meeting, as you prefer. The content of both meetings will be the same. There will be an opportunity to meet after the school holidays as well, but we hope that as many of you as possible will attend one of these August meetings.
CATHOLICISM Study Course
This will begin on Wednesday, 9 September at 7 pm in both Bourne and Deeping Churches and continue every Wednesday evening from 7pm in both venues. This is open to all and I encourage you to consider enrolling to learn more about our Catholic Faith and to enrich your spirituality. We very much look forward to welcoming you. Fr Paul
